Agilos to develop public dashboards for ECDC to track COVID-19 cases and vaccinations

Brussels, Belgium/Luxembourg – January 28, 2021 – Agilos has developed, in collaboration with the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), an interactive dashboard solution to track COVID-19 cases, deaths and vaccinations. This dashboard is updated continuously and publicly available for consultation on worldwide level.

In a constant effort to ensure transparency towards the EU citizens, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) launched its first COVID-19 situation dashboard in March 2020.

In a world in which disinformation on the coronavirus is thriving, it is crucial to only consult data from authoritative sources, such as the ECDC website. Via this trustworthy and centralized channel, users can explore the latest available COVID-19 data and easily monitor the pandemic at European and global level.

Through interactive maps, graphs and tables, users are able to easily view, compare and export data on COVID-19 cases and deaths by region or country, and within a specified timeframe.

In June 2020, the European Commission presented a European vaccines strategy to accelerate the development, manufacturing and deployment of vaccines against COVID-19, finally shedding a light of hope on this pandemic. Once proven safe and effective, the vaccines started being distributed to all EU Member States in December 2020.

Our latest developments for the ECDC concern a “vaccination status” dashboard, providing data on the distribution and coverage of the vaccines in each country. The goal is to provide accurate, objective, up-to-date evidence on vaccines in an interactive way and enabling every user to monitor the progress of the EU objective: vaccinate 70% of the entire adult population by Summer 2021. The new dashboard is planned to go live on 1 February, 2021.

The dashboards are public and can be consulted at this URL.
